Joanna Sabo is a consultant and trainer in both the public and private sectors. She specializes in programs that help people plan and achieve new goals. Dr. Sabo has held several academic positions, including tenured professor of politics and business at Monroe County Community College, graduate professor at Eastern Michigan University, and faculty member at the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C. She is a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Member Award at MCCC.

In addition, Dr. Sabo has held non-academic management positions with the U.S. District Courts, Michigan Consolidated Gas Company, and Government Administrators Association. For three years she held the position of Dean of Business at MCCC. As a certified instructional designer, Dr. Sabo has created customized programs on challenging topics, including customer service, leadership development, employee communication, time management, and presentation skills. Dr. Sabo is well known for her award-winning participatory approach to training, and believes that while workshops should be focused and meet intended objectives, they can be fun and inspiring too.

She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Administration from Wayne State University with minors in Public Law and Business Management.
